Gary's List:
Honey, Honey, Miss Thang: Young, Black, Gay and on
the Streets is interviews with black transwomen
Lt. Nun: The Memoirs of Catalina de Erauso, is the
autobiography of a 17th century Latino ftm
Living the Spirit: Gay Native Americans, has some
trans content
Two Spirit People: Native American Gender, Sexuality
and Spirituality, has mixed white and non-white content
Two Spirit People: Native American Lesbian Women
and Gay Men has mixed white and non-white content that includes anti-trans
and trans-inclusive material (the editor is anti-trans)
Leslie Feinberg is Jewish background, and so is Kate
Borstein, so I include them as 'ethnic minorities', though they do
not to my knowledge ID as 'people of color'
There are several erotic fiction pieces on the Roughriders
site by and about trans people of color: www.netgsi.com/~listwrangler/roughriders.html.
Many of the stories are very high quality and illuminating of the
cultural dilemmas that come with the gender dilemmas of people of
color; I'm thinking in particular of 'Habibi' by Nadyalec (Arab American
ftm) and my own story 'Slow Dancing with My Skeleton' (I'm Native
American), as well as others.
There are a variety of other stories as well. One
day I hope to do a 'best of Roughriders' book, but that's not even
in the proposal stage at this time. I plan to work on it next summer.
I've published some things; I have an autobiographical
piece in Feinberg's book: Trans Liberation: Beyond Pink and Blue.
It specifically addresses my Native American heritage.
Constance Johnson is working on documentary about
Black FTMs, but I don't know when it will be available.
This is all I know about. As you can see, it's not
much. People have color have been whited out, and when it suits an
academic career, trotted out and reinterpreted by (white) ethnographers.
However, I am currently preparing a proposal to publish
an anthology by trans people of color. It's very early in the planning
stages, I am preparing to approach a publisher. Stay tuned.

Anne's Note:
Neither Man Nor Woman, by Dr. Serena Nanda should be
on this list. There's a whole genre of extremely exploitive and hateful
anti-hijra books, most notably "The Invisibles", by Zia Jaffery.

My addition:
This came more-or-less verbatim from a thread on tgpoc,
the listserve that I maintain for transgendered people of color &
our allies. You are most welcome to join--write me and I'll tell you
how!
